China Bans Beyonce and Kanye West Music

*One of the worldâs most populated, media hungry countries, China, banned Beyonce, Kanye West and Katy Perry songs. You didnât know they could do that huh?
Yes, that is correct, their music is not allowed. According to RTE.ie, Beyonceâs song âRun the Worldâ is one of a hundred songs banned by the Chinese Ministry of Culture on Friday.
Others include Katy Perryâs âE.T.â featuring Kanye West, as well as Lady Gagaâs âThe Edge of Glory,â âHair,â and several others. Her song, âBorn This Wayâ was banned on a previous list.
You may be wondering what the big deal is, noting some of the content isnât necessarily offensive. The Chinese Ministry says the bans are not related to the content, but is all about the clamp down on Internet music providers who are providing access to songs not submitted to the government for review or censorship.
